Terms of use

These are the terms for buying and using Evidence Engine. They are written in plain language. Seller: Evidence Engine QA (Sumit Saurabh, sole proprietor).

The license

  • The price is on Pricing. Another Windows user on the same PC does not inherit it.
  • About once every 7 days, at the start of a scan, the app checks with Lemon Squeezy that the license is still active. Offline, scanning continues for up to 30 days after the last successful check. Trial terms cover trial expiry.
  • If the subscription ends, new scans stop. Reports and Evidence Packs already on the PC still open.
  • You may not share, resell, or publish the license key, or bypass the license check.

The trial

The approved trial lasts 7 days, for one Windows user on one PC, with no card. A trial scan stops at 30 pages, 30 link checks, depth 2, 10 minutes, and a custom list of 30 addresses. The full license stops at 200 pages, 500 link checks, depth 10, 30 minutes, and 200 addresses. When the 7 days end, new scans stop and reports already on the PC stay readable. Trial terms are on Pricing. A paid license activated on that PC ends the trial and lifts those limits. The public trial link stays closed until that live trial product exists. A release build requires its Lemon Squeezy product id.

Scanning responsibly

  • Scan only a website you own or are authorised to test.
  • The app reports what it observed on the pages it visited. It does not guarantee that a site is free of defects, accessible, secure, or compliant with any standard.

Your data

Scans, screenshots, and exports stay on your PC. The privacy page lists what the app sends.

Payments and refunds

Orders are processed by Lemon Squeezy as the merchant of record, under its buyer terms. Lemon Squeezy, as merchant of record, handles consumer-law obligations at checkout. Renewal, cancellation, and refunds are on the refunds page.

Warranty and liability

The app is provided as available. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for the license in the 12 months before the claim.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Mandatory consumer rights still apply, including where those rights cannot be waived and including where they come from the law of the buyer's country.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date at the top is the latest version. The version that applied at purchase is the one Lemon Squeezy showed at checkout.
